The fact that Gaga has been forced to cancel her concert in Jakarta only shows how feared she is by the local authorities, who use religion as an excuse to not let the Indonesian society open to the new globalised world. They fear an icon that spreads the belief that everyone must be treated equally regardless of their sexual orientation, gender, race or appearance.
It’s very sad that a State is ruled by religion. I only hope that the situation will soon change, as new technologies cannot be stopped. There seems to be some light at the end of the tunnel.
All my anger, disappointment and disgust to those who try to control others through religion. You deserve nothing but misery.
